  18. <p>     The entrepreneurial spirit is one thing that Oliver North
  19. apparently didn't shred. Since North's testimony at
  20. congressional hearings about his role in the Iran-contra
  21. affair, he's won praise and been the target of verbal potshots.
  22. Perhaps inspired by the latter, he has gone into business as
  23. partner in a firm that sells body armor--more popularly
  24. called bulletproof vests--for law-enforcement officers.
  25. Although he said last week that he "feels safe among the
  26. American people," loyal customer North wears one of his
  27. company's vests every day.
